At Edmonton Public Library (EPL), we believe in offering you a variety of ways to give that align with your financial goals and philanthropic values. By making strategic donations, you can achieve greater impact while benefiting from potential tax savings. Here are some unique options to support EPL’s mission and programs:
Donate Securities
Donate publicly listed securities such as stocks, bonds, or mutual funds directly to EPL. Capital gains on the appreciated value may be exempt from taxation, and you may also receive a donation tax credit.
Donate Your RRSP or RRIF
Name EPL as a beneficiary on your Registered Retirement Savings Plan or Registered Retirement Income Fund, either directly on your plan documents or in your will.
Donate Through an Insurance Policy
Make a lasting contribution by naming EPL as the beneficiary or owner of an insurance policy. Donations from insurance policies may be eligible for charitable receipts.
